Privacy Policy

AccountPulse is a sales intelligence service at getaccountpulse.com. It ranks the companies in your account list by what is happening at each of them, using public news, job postings, and written research. This policy explains what information the service collects, what it is used for, who processes it on our behalf, and how to have it removed.

You sign in with Google. AccountPulse requests three pieces of basic profile information and nothing else: your email address, your name, and your profile picture. The corresponding Google scopes are openid, email, and profile. The service does not request access to Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google data.

Your email address is stored in our database. It is the key that ties your accounts, notes, and settings to you, and it is checked against the list of people permitted to use the service. Your name and profile picture are held only in your session cookie so the interface can show who is signed in; they are not written to the database.

AccountPulse does not store Google access tokens or refresh tokens. Once sign-in completes, the service has no ongoing connection to your Google account.

AccountPulse's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The service stores what you give it so it can do its job:

• Your setup profile: what you sell, the problem it solves, and the buyer titles, company sizes, and industries you target.
• Your account list: company names, domains, and any tier you assign.
• Your value propositions and competitors.
• Notes you write on an account, and signals you save.
• Questions you ask the account assistant, and the answers it returns.

This is your information. You can edit or remove it in the product at any time, and you can ask us to delete all of it (see Retention and deletion).

For each company on your list, AccountPulse gathers and stores public information about that company: news items, job postings and hiring counts, technology mentions, and a written research brief. It also stores the scores, rankings, and summaries it computes from that material. This is information about companies, not about you, and it is not shared with other users.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and timestamps. These are used for operating and securing the service and are kept for a short period.

AccountPulse sets two cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a small cookie that records that you have completed setup. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics.

Information is used to provide the service: to sign you in, to gather and rank signals for the companies you follow, to write research and answer your questions about an account, and to respond when you contact us. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

AccountPulse runs on a small number of service providers. Each receives only what it needs for its task.

• Google (sign-in). Handles authentication and returns the profile fields listed above.
• Railway (hosting, United States). Runs the application and stores its database.
• Anthropic (language models). Receives company names, signal text, research material, your product description, your value propositions, your notes, and your assistant questions in order to score signals, write briefs, and answer questions. Anthropic processes this data to return a response and, under its commercial terms, does not use it to train its models.
• TheirStack (job postings). Receives company names and domains from your account list in order to return job posting data.
• NewsData (news). Receives search queries made up of company names and topic terms derived from your product description.
• Backblaze (backups). Stores encrypted-in-transit copies of the application database in a private bucket. Daily copies are kept for a limited period and one copy per month is kept longer.

We do not share your information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Your information is kept for as long as you have access to the service. To have it deleted, email [email protected] from the address you sign in with. We remove your profile, account list, notes, saved signals, conversations, and email address from the live database within 30 days. Copies held in backups age out on the backup schedule described above.

Public information about companies (news, postings, research) may be kept after your data is deleted, because it is not tied to you.

All traffic to the service is encrypted with TLS. Access to the production database is limited to the operator of the service. No method of storage is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if we learn of a breach that affects your information.

AccountPulse is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

When this policy changes, the new version is posted at this address with a new effective date. A change that materially affects how your information is used will be announced in the product before it takes effect.
